What are the chances of being lost in the court system?

I know it's probably highly unlikely that someone could get lost/forgot about in the court system but I have a case pending and I'm waiting on going to Superior Court. I was charged back on April 7th, 2011 and its already almost July and I have not heard one thing from my lawyer or anyone regarding my next court date? Is it possible to be forgot about? I know I had a case about a year ago where the court system made a huge mistake in the court room and when I got in front of the judge the District Attorney said "your honor this is so and so and he is a level 1 with no prior convictions." Which totally was not the case, I have been in trouble with the law a lot in my life, not something I'm proud of but that mistake in the court room got me off with just a fine. So what are your guys opinions?
