How to kick a friend out of your band?

My friend and I started a band and my other friend who stole my girlfriend (who also thinks i made up with him, but I still hate him) just assumed he was in the band and came to a rehearsal, m yother friend doesn't care either way, but I really want him out. How can I tell him without him completely hating me?
